What exactly is a Planty Garden and how does it work?
Alright. So, you want to grow your own food.
Work? Nah. Take it easy. It's not as tough as you think.
Most people expect growing food will be a lot of work and super complicated. But, it can be simple.
Because plants only need five things:
Sunlight, water, nutrients, air, and room to grow
At the bottom of the page, I'll show you how to grow your own food in a smart and efficient way: by setting up a Planty Garden.
First, I'll show you the stuff we use and why it works so well. Like the planters, the soil, and the grids that divide them into little square plots.
I'll also explain our seeding system. This system allows you to plant your seeds just right - so that they get all the space, nutrients, and sunlight they need to grow big and strong.
The great thing is that this way, your plants don't need a lot of attention. You get a big harvest with only a little TLC.
But a Planty Garden is just a raised bed with some soil and seeds in it, right?
No way, José.
If you take a random planter and fill it with dirt, you won't get a beautiful vegetable garden just like that.
Without experience - and without a system - 99 times out of 100 it will end up a huge disappointment.
Wilted plants, tired soil, crying children ... Is that what you want?
I didn't think so. ;-)
With just a little preparation, all this can be yours:
At the end of this section, I'll show the top things that beginners get wrong. I'll also compare the Planty system with other ways of home-growing.
But first, I'll start by telling you more about Planty Gardening. Because I like it so much. And you might get a few aha moments out of it.
So, let's do this thing. ;-)
