What's so special about our Spinach?
Our Spinach has beautiful large leaves. It’s slow to flower, so you can harvest the leaves longer.
Sowing and growing
You sow this Spinach in early spring or the very end of the summer.
If the weather is dry, soak the seeds in water overnight before sowing to speed up germination. Then prick 9 holes in your square patch with 2 seeds per hole. There’s no need to thin out the seedlings.
Harvest the leaves by plucking them one by one or by cutting off the entire plant 2 cm above soil line. The plants will continue to grow. If you let the leaves grow, they can reach up to 20 cm. Harvest the plants completely as soon as they start to flower.
Step-by-step sowing and growing instructions are in the Planty Gardening app.
How do you use it?
Spinach is super healthy: lots of vitamin C, antioxidants and iron.
Use the raw leaves in salads. Or cook them briefly and add them to your mashed potatoes. Also delicious in green smoothies, soups, stir-fries, and sauces.
